The St. Anthony Parish Social Action Committee provides
an outreach ministry to those individuals or families who are in need:
- A food pantry is stocked and maintained from items donated
by parishioners, enabling us to respond to requests for food from parishioners and
neighbors.
- Emergency needs for clothing or baby supplies are met
whenever donors can be found.
- Dozens of complete holiday dinners are provided at
Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter through the generosity of parishioners. Christmas
gifts are wrapped and donated for families, too.
- Over 500 cards are sent annually to parishioners for
Birthday, Anniversary, New Birth, Sympathy and Get Well occasions.
- Sponsorship of Bristol's St. Vincent de Paul Shelter
through the Walk Against Hunger raised hundreds of dollars.
- Participation in the Covenant To Care program works with
social workers to meet specific needs of families in the local community.
- Benefit Breakfasts and Dinners raise money for families
who have seriously ill children requiring extensive medical treatments.
